Salvaged. Processed. Ready.

From Demolition Site to Your Job Site

Lumber Portland sources reclaimed wood from barn tear-downs, warehouse demolitions, bridge replacements, and factory decommissions throughout Oregon, Washington, and Northern California. Every piece is inspected, de-nailed, kiln-dried to 6-8% moisture content, and graded before it reaches our yard.

What you get is material that combines old-growth density and character with modern processing standards. Tighter grain rings, higher Janka hardness ratings, and a patina that cannot be replicated — all verified and ready for your next project.

Quality Assurance

What Sets Our Products Apart

Not all reclaimed lumber is created equal. Some yards sell material that's still full of nails, hasn't been kiln-dried, or has been stored outdoors where it absorbs moisture and develops mold. We do things differently.

Every product that leaves our Portland facility has gone through a rigorous multi-step process designed to deliver material you can trust for structural, decorative, or finish applications.

01

Source Verification

We document every salvage source. You receive provenance records showing the original structure, location, and estimated age of your wood.

02

Metal Detection & De-Nailing

Industrial metal detectors and hand inspection ensure every nail, screw, and embedded fastener is removed before milling.

03

Kiln Drying

All lumber is kiln-dried to 6-8% moisture content, eliminating insects, mold, and ensuring dimensional stability.

04

Grading & Inspection

We grade every board for structural integrity, appearance, and defects. See our grading standards on the lumber grades page.

05

Custom Processing

Planing, profiling, sanding, and finishing to your specifications. Material ships ready to install.
