Walls Worth Touching

Reclaimed Paneling That Transforms Spaces

A reclaimed wood wall is the fastest way to add warmth, texture, and character to any room. Whether it's a single accent wall behind a bed, a full living room installation, or exterior barn-style cladding, reclaimed siding creates an instant connection between your space and the history of the Pacific Northwest.

We mill all our siding and paneling profiles from salvaged timber in our Portland facility. You choose the species, profile, width, and surface finish — we handle the rest. Every board is de-nailed, kiln-dried, and precision-milled with tight tolerances for hassle-free installation.

For exterior applications, we recommend naturally weather-resistant species like Western Red Cedar or properly finished old-growth Douglas Fir. For interior accent walls, the full range of species and surface treatments is available.

A shiplap or T&G wall behind the bed creates an instant focal point. Horizontal orientation in warm Fir or Pine complements neutral bedding and modern furniture.

Recommended: Shiplap or Nickel Gap

Kitchen Backsplash Area

Reclaimed paneling above countertops (away from direct water exposure) adds farmhouse charm. Sealed with polyurethane for easy wipe-down cleaning.

Recommended: Tongue-and-Groove

Ceiling Treatment

Covering a ceiling in reclaimed T&G planking adds overhead warmth to any room. Especially effective in vaulted or tray ceilings where the surface is highly visible.

Recommended: Tongue-and-Groove or Nickel Gap

Exterior Barn-Style Siding

Board-and-batten or channel rustic from Cedar or old-growth Fir gives new construction an authentic Pacific Northwest agricultural aesthetic.

Recommended: Board-and-Batten or Channel Rustic

Commercial Interiors

Restaurants, breweries, retail shops, and offices use reclaimed paneling for brand identity. We supply matched sets for large-scale installations with consistent color and character.

Recommended: Any profile — mixed-width popular

Wainscoting

Lower-wall treatment (typically 32" – 48" height) with a cap rail. Classic elegance in a dining room, hallway, or bathroom using vertical T&G or shiplap.

Recommended: Shiplap or T&G, vertical orientation

Finishing

Surface Finish Options

The surface treatment you choose dramatically affects the final look. We can process paneling to any level of refinement — from raw, weathered barn board to smooth, sanded, and sealed planks.

For interior accent walls, most clients prefer a wire-brushed or skip-sanded finish that preserves character while being comfortable to touch. For exterior siding, we recommend smooth-planed surfaces that accept stain and sealant evenly.

Raw / Weathered

Original barn-wood surface preserved as-is. Maximum rustic character. Interior decorative use only.

Wire-Brushed

Soft grain removed, hard grain highlighted. Creates subtle relief texture. Our most popular interior finish.

Skip-Sanded

Light sanding preserves surface character while removing splinters. Comfortable to touch but still visibly aged.

Smooth-Planed

Fully surfaced to smooth finish. Grain and color preserved, surface marks minimized. Best for paint or stain application.

Pre-Oiled

Natural oil finish applied in our shop. Enhances grain color and provides basic protection. Ready to install.

Pre-Stained

Custom stain color applied before shipping. Match an existing room color or create a specific design palette.
